One particular boss also gave me a calendar of every date and time (outside of weekends and funerals, of course) when I was expected to be at the parish. He was strict. He scheduled a recap meeting after Christmas and Easter (that was on the calendar too!) He made annual performance reviews a priority, set specific goals, and made tools accessible when they were neccessary to achieve the goals we established.
Everything always ran smoothly in his parish, and the staff was the most cooperative group of people I ever worked with. Good HR makes a difference!
