Q. How did you get the name FontSound?
“The liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; it is also the font from which all her power flows.”
–CCC, 1070 (Quoting The Constitution on Sacred Liturgy, paragraph 10.)
We chose FontSound because it has many meanings. Typeface. Water. Music. Stability. Most significantly, it speaks to our approach to ministry. We believe that when the worshipping community prioritizes a consistent, intentional celebration of the Eucharist, everything else-from formation to fundraising- falls into place. Liturgy, the work of the Body of Christ, is the foundation of Christian living. A strong foundation is a sound font, and a sound font is a sound faith. Is your font sound?
Q. So what is FontSound, anyway?
FontSound is your pastoral outsource partner. We do the things that busy Catholic leaders just don’t have the time to do.
Recent projects include:
- freelance fundraising
- interim music ministry coverage
- diocesan liturgical ministry formation
- content development for a diocesan youth-ministry tool-kit
- liturgy planning and coordination for a national conference
- worship-aide design
Q. You really do all that? Is there anything you don’t do?
We do not do bookkeeping or accounting.
Q. Why should we choose FontSound instead of going on Fiverr.com, posting on a Catholic freelance staffing platform or investing several years into one of those ReSomething programs?
We know Church. We have decades of ministry experience. We recognize that many parishes are challenged by similar phenomena, and we understand that no two parishes are alike. We’re here to listen, research and make recommendations so that you can prayerfully discern the best option for your particular situation.
Moreover, we’re committed to delivering the highest level of quality at a price you can afford.
Q. Are you hiring?
We are not hiring yet, however we may have an interest in collaborating with fluent speakers of Spanish and Portuguese. If you’d like to be the first to be considered, please send a resume, and a cover letter to email@example.com. In your cover letter, include a link to your Facebook or Instagram.
Q. What areas do you serve?
We currently have clients in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
Q. Is your refrigerator running?
No. He pulled his hamstring while he was running a 5K last week. (We’ve got jokes, too.)
