Elena V. Brandt, Founder. At first impression, Elena might appear to be fresh-out-of college kid with pie-in-the-sky aspirations but don’t be fooled by her youthful energy. She is an experienced leader with a proven track record of implementing effective pastoral initiatives.
A lifelong New Yorker until her early thirties, Elena is a versatile pastoral innovator with over 15 years of experience in intercultural parishes. She has formed liturgical ministers on the diocesan level and most recently, was a presenter at diocesan workshops for the implementation of the Misal Romano, Tercera Edición.
Elena has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from CUNY, Queens College, a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers, New York, and a Certificate in Church Management through Villanova University & Our Sunday Visitor.
Tony Varas, Ministry Coach. A native of Tampa, Florida, Tony is a liturgist, musician and pastoral leader who has witnessed the transformation of Catholic liturgy since the late 1970s. As a diocesan worship director for over 20 years, Tony is aware of the challenges faced by pastoral ministers and concerns that are particular to specific regions of the country. He has served on the boards of several professional organizations, written published articles on the role of the cantor at mass, and presented at national gatherings of liturgical musicians.
Tony holds degrees from the University of South Florida, and a Master of Arts in Liturgy & Music from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana. He is a dad, a friend, an empowering mentor and the newest member of the FontSound team.
